My favorite NIN album remains The Downward Spiral, allthough who can deny that This album (The Fragile) anything short of great. The songs on this album are smart and unusual. The music is dark and industrial.the whole album (2 CD's full of music) makes any fan of music extra happy. Awesome album.

out of all the music out there THIS is why Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band. I love this.

If you are like the people who put 1 to 3 stars then get off. this is art and if you dont see it you simply have no soul and no emotion.
I wish i knew who left the post saying Marilin Manson has out done Nine Inch Nails so i can smack them with a bus. live life thru someone else's eyes and see yourself as the world sees you, and for once in your life.know.yourself.
Just look at the Ghost album. This has to be nine inch nail's best album and one of my favourite albums of all time. Trent is so creative in everything he does. I never thought he would make something like that. And as far as the fragile goes, it was his first album that really should how creative he was
my advice is, listen to some of the songs on youtube first so you can make sure they're you're cup of tea. that album, with "Year Zero" coming in a close second, were some of the best i have heard, by anyone. i discovered nine inch nails a couple months ago, after listening to "With Teeth". But With Teeth and Year Zero. however, the songs on this cd seem to be nothing but shouting mixed in with mediocre beats. however, lots of people seem to like it, so maybe i'm wrong. amazing. not sure about "the slip", haven't listened to it yet.
Then this album will make your knees buckle and your mouth water. But lets say if you listen to "REAL" music, like.
I started becoming a NIN fan after this ablum. And now NIN is my favorite band (and I listen to A LOT of bands), Trust me on this, the songs will give you new meaning to life itself.
Trent is a pure genius. then your better off NOT getting this album.
Some might think it's difficult, but that all depends on your experience with listening to music. For example, if you are a fan of crappy bands such as Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, or Limp Bizkit.
Portishead, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, LCD Sound Systems, Queens of the Stone Age, etc. So enjoy.
